Greetings from Cambodia!! We have had a great few days. On Friday, we did a presentation at a Christian school. There were about 100 kids and they were awesome. The team did an amazing job of telling the story of Daniel in the lion’s den narrated by Noah and David and Goliath narrated by Josh. Alethia explained the wordless book and Rachael gave her testimony. Levi is an amazing actor in our Bible stories and in Colors. We had a great time playing games with the kids afterward and had many sweet goodbyes when we left.
On Saturday we did a presentation at a local pastor’s house. Levi shared his testimony. Alethia shared a Bible story about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Celeste and Claire both enjoy acting in the dramas.
Sunday we had a great trip to Phnom Penh. We toured the Royal Palace, spent some time at the largest and newest mall in Cambodia where we enjoyed a lunch of American food. Some had pizza, some had Burger King and some had KFC. I think we all had Dairy Queen. We had a special dinner at the apartment of a Teen Missions FTM, Bella McKay and her roommate Paige. They are both interning with Samaritans Purse in Phnom Penh. They fixed us chicken fajitas, chips and salsa, chocolate chip cookies and ICE CREAM!! It was a wonderful time in their beautiful and AIR CONDITIONED apartment. After dinner, they invited us to swim in the roof top pool on the 14th floor overlooking the city. It was so refreshing!! We had a wonderful day! It was a good break in our routine but Monday it is back to a normal schedule to finish out our week here.
The Teen Missions Bible School students from Siem Reap arrived on Saturday. They will stay here until October 1. They will be planting rice and preparing for Boot Camp that starts on September 1. There are 10 of them here along with their coordinator, Nellie. We are all looking forward to getting to know them more.
Last night we had rain all night which has brought cool breezes and a beautiful sunrise this morning. Our team has been healthy and strong. Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for our safety and health as we complete our time here on the motorcycles.
