Raising walls in Nepal…… Thanks to y’all!!
Since our time is coming to a close here in Nepal, this may be our last report. Although our time is short, there is still a lot to do. We are building walls for the bathroom/showers today but sadly we will not be able to see it completed before we leave. Although we may not see it as a finished product, our hearts are full to know that we have worked hard and are able to be lay the “foundation” for something that will be very nice for the folks here at Mendies Haven.
We will be attending a new church tomorrow that we were able to get setup. We plan to do a program with puppets and singing for the church. After church we will be coming back home to do group devotions, Bible study and verse quizzing. On Sunday, we will be doing our pack out and plan to leave for the airport at 5:00 as we leave out at 9:20 p.m. Our flight will take us to Doha, Qatar for an 8 hour layover and then the final flight to Miami at which we will take a 4-5 hour bus ride back to Teen Missions. Our team has been pretty healthy but has been dealing with a few tummy problems here and there; thus we are stressing rest, water and proper care so that we can be in “tip-top” shape for our travel home. Please pray for our travels and preparations.
Hello from the other side of the world! Being here in Nepal has been such a blessing. From laying brick to playing with the children, it is amazing to see God work in us. I am so thankful for this team and my leaders. Even though we have difficulties and hold up during our work. Like waiting for bricks to come in or the Nepali brick mason to show up, we always keep a smile. I am sad our time is coming to an end but, I can’t wait to head back home and share with others the work God is doing in Nepal. It reminds me daily truly that our God is not dead and is always working. From home to the other side of the world our God never quits! Hey mom and dad if you are reading this I just want to let you know how much I love and miss you!!!!!!! -Paige A
Hello From Nepal! We have about 2 more days here in Nepal and then we’re off to debrief. In my devotions this morning I was thinking about all the good things God has done while we’ve been here. For example we’ve been to two different churches while we’ve been here and heard Mr. Beaver preach a great sermon. And we’ve also been able to start working on the new bathrooms while we’ve been here as well. So if you could please pray for us as we start thinking about the journey home that we would remember everything we need to bring back. And also for safe travels. Thank you for your prayers and support as we close out this chapter in our mission. Also hey Tim’s people, I am praying for you guys and hope you are doing well. Love you and miss you. -Timothy P
Hi from Nepal! These last 6 weeks have been wonderful, amazing, and so full of learning and growing experiences. I can’t even think of the right words to describe them. God’s presence has been so present and powerful with us. He has united our team together in Him to bring the blessing of Jesus and has given us the strength and joy to work each day and build relationships with the children here at Mendies Haven Children’s Home. I can feel His love filling my heart for these children, this people, and this nation. I now might be a little biased but Nepal is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to. God’s creation is so breathtaking here. Someone sent me a letter at boot camp and told me to embrace whatever God is teaching me this summer and I have been to the fullest, and it has been so eye opening and real. This is His story for His glory and it’s so amazing that we get to be a part of His story. I am beyond thankful for each and every one of my supporters and everyone who has kept this team and me in prayer. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I really couldn’t have done this without you all. I am so stoked to go home to my church and community and share the blessing of what God has done and what He is doing in Nepal. Also to my family and friends I love you and miss you all so much! Praying for you all and can’t wait to see you all! In Christ, Johana M
