Greetings from the Uganda team!!
The team has been doing great! In Koboko we washed over 200 feet, when we ran out of shoes we had to tell people no more shoes because they kept on coming for them. We had a great time there and we didn’t want to leave. We also got a lot of construction work done, the team worked really hard. We left Koboko on the 22nd of July (Friday), it was about a 12 hour truck ride to Bugoi. We were definitely out in the bush and that’s why we couldn’t send a report. We washed about 115 people’s feet and handed out shoes. We also brought back one duffel bag of shoes to Jinja. We also were able to meet the guy who gave Teen Missions the land. On the 29th of July we were planning on leaving around 8:30 in the morning, but the truck needed to be fixed so we didn’t leave till later to go to Jinja, which is about a 10 hour drive. We continued to have truck problems, but we finally made it to Jinja. The team was great and played games and talked and hung out. The team members were so patient. We finally got to the base and are helping here. Thanks for all the prayers!
Hey, I’m doing well. I’ve had some pretty crazy experiences the past few days and God is really working. I can’t wait to see you all. I love and miss you! -Kate V.
Hey Mom! I miss you so much!! But Uganda is great. God is working in so many ways, a couple days ago, at our school ministry, about 100 kids gave their lives to Christ. Also, our team raised enough money to send 46 kids to school for a year and provide 201 Bibles for the school. It is so awesome to be part of His plan in Uganda! God’s taught me many things this summer ranging from what I should find my joy in to His comfort and peace. We are in Jinja, which is where we will be staying until we fly out Friday! I can’t wait to tell you everything about my summer! See you in less than 2 weeks! Love you so much! Also thank you everyone for over 32 letters of encouragement! P.S. Everyone says I’ve lost a little bit of my accent! -Kate H.
There aren’t words to express the joy in my heart. God is so good! Mama, Dad, Bubs, Jacob, I have so much to share with all of you and everyone else, it’s hard to believe that in a couple of weeks I’ll be back in California. It’s a bittersweet feeling, as I’ve started to call this place home. Well, as always, I love you guys! And Carissa Joy, I’ve been thinking of you, reading your email and missing you like crazy! Love ya’ girl. (P.S. I got letters today!) -Tiffany G.
Hi Mom! I am having an awesome time in Uganda. We have witnessed a lot of kids get saved this past week. My life has been changed (at least that is what Leslie told me). I Love u!! ( I read your letters. Tell Stan to put me on the schedule on the 14th. Thank you!) Thank you guys so much for all the mail! I can’t wait to call you in the airport and see you after debrief! Love you all and miss you too! Love, Elizabeth
An adventure of a lifetime indeed. Counting down the days until I can come back. -Grace K.
I have absolutely fallen in love with Uganda. And I hope to come back next summer. – Lexi
Hey Family! I miss you all so much! I’m sure just as I am encouraged, you all must be as well as it is the first day of August! I’m counting down the days I get to see you again, but I’m still wanting to finish the job set aside for me here. I’m not sure if any of the other kids wrote this in their testimonies, but I got a ton of mail. I was so very encouraged by it all, and I’m ready to press on for the remainder of the trip. I miss you all so much and can’t wait to be with you all again, I’m excited to hear about your summers and how God has been working through you guys. Much love to all of you. -Connor

I have definitely been living my adventure. 😃 I can’t wait to tell you all about it when l get home. Please remember my jamba juice and birks at the airport. I can’t wait to see you all!! Love you so much! Seqoia
The last few weeks have been life changing. I have loved every minute of this trip. We have had the opportunity to bless so many people through music, shoes and dramas and testimonies. There are no words to describe the joy you feel when you get to bless a child and see the smile on their face. I love you and miss you! P.S. Mom, if you can come to the airport can you bring the team storybook? Love you and miss you! Love, Ana
