We arrived safely back in Siem Reap on Saturday. It is good to be back.
We plan to visit Angkor Wat tomorrow. We are all very excited to see the temple ruins. On Wednesday, we will go out to do MSSM here in Siem Reap. Thursday we have some work projects to do here at the base and then on Friday, we will be packing to fly home on Saturday. We hope to call from the LA airport when we enter the US, but will most likely be very rushed to get through immigrations and customs to make our connecting flight. If we are not able to make our phone calls home, then we will call from Teen Missions. We all look forward to hearing the voices of our family. Thank you for all your prayers.
As our time is coming to a close, I asked all the team members to contribute to the report this time. This is a summary of their summer in their own words:
Claire: I really like the country of Cambodia. I am hoping I will be able to come back in the future. Recently I have been praying for wisdom and fruits of the spirit and I really see God working on these virtues in me.
Noah: God has blessed us with the small things like refrigerator, good weather and electric fans. Cambodia is a very beautiful county and the people are very friendly and open. And most importantly, the food is good.
Josh: It’s great to see how the team is growing. I feel as if we have all matured emotionally and spiritually. ONe prayer request I had was that no one would get seriously injured on the motorcycles. Praise the Lord no one has been seriously injured.
Rachael: I have eaten incredibly weird food that I can’t put a name to and those I have I will remember forever like pig intestines. They were delicious. I have done amazing things like riding motorcycles and seeing things I will never forget. I will never forget Angkor Wat. I absolutely love Cambodia. I am so thankful for my supporters and everyone that is praying for me God is so good. I will remember this for the rest of my life.
Celeste: Being in Cambodia has been such an amazing experience from hanging out on the roof at the base at Siem Reap to motorcycling out to teach children about God and to play games with them. Spending part of our day working on random work projects around the base at Kampong Chhnang was also kind of fun. This past week was awesome when the BMW students came to plant rice and we got to know them better.
Alethia: Being in Cambodia has been such an amazing experience. Going to do MSSM in all the different villages was very cool because we were able to play with and just love on all the little kids. It has been really great to see the way God has answered our prayers to keep us safe while we are out riding and also to keep all of us from getting really sick. IKamppng Chnang was really amazing even though it took some time getting used to squattie potties. Siem Reap is really fun because we get to go to the night markets and go to Angkor Wat. I have really enjoyed my time in Cambodia and will miss it so much after this summer.
Levi: We just got back to Siem Reap from Kampong Chhnang a few days ago and we are getting ready to head to debrief. I am really excited to see Amgkor Wat tomorrow. i have been sick today with a stomach flu but I am feeling better. Love you, Fam!
