forest-angels-2016John 1:29

“The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him,

and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

The “Lamb of God”, Christ, takes away sin. He washes it away with His blood. Not because of anything I have done or anything I can do, but only because of God’s grace which cannot be earned nor deserved. This is the message that we preach to others—that Christ takes away sin!

Over the summer

We love being a part of Teen Missions and the work that we get to do here in Florida and around the world img_62651with so many people. The summer time is one our favorite times of the year, and although we had an unusual summer this year we are excited to share what God did through us.

Emily and the kids went to New York on June 27th for my brother Scott’s wedding. My sister Sharon came down to Florida just before Emily left to help with James and Lauren on the plane. The kids did great and they made it with no trouble. Emily and the kids had a great time and Emily really appreciated all the help that she received for the kids. James loved the animals on the farm and all the attention that he got from my siblings. My grandmother came back to Florida with Emily to help with the kids on the way back here.

Thank you for praying for Emily, James and Lauren as they traveled this summer.

On July 5th I was asked to step in and take the head leader position of the Teen Missions Florida Forest Angels Preteen team that was having some trouble. I said yes and the next day I joined the team as their head leader! The last time I lead a Preteen team was in 2011 to Sicily, Italy. This year I had 16 kids between the ages of 10 and 13. Our main project was to go to Ocala National Forest and while riding mini motorcycles through the trails to evangelize to other riders who they came into contact with. We were also able to travel to nursing homes, a homeless ministry and a few churches. The team presented the Gospel through puppets, drama, the Wordless Book and bracelet, Gospel coins and also shared testimonies. I had a great summer, although it was a very difficult team and hard being away from Emily for so long. Thank you for praying for me this summer as I worked with the Preteens!

Looking forward to new things!

We are excited as we prepare for the fall and say farewell to the summer. Maybe it’s the new excitement of having two kids now, or the continuing opportunities to make a difference with Teen Missions both here and around the world, or perhaps the reflections from the summer of all the things that God has done for us and with us. Whatever the reason for our joy and excitement this September we are thankful for you and the impact that you have on our lives and on the lives of the people we are serving!

The Teen Missions Bible school has started up again and the students are here for their training. One of the girls that was on Emily and my team last year to Bangladesh has come this week to start her two years of Bible school. It is really exciting to have her here and to know that God used us in a small way to share with her about the Bible school!

Canada

We have exciting news to share about our ministry with Teen Missions! Emily and I have been asked to move to Canada to run the work of Teen Missions for the country of Canada. Teen Missions has a campground, office and house in Saskatchewan, Canada. This will be our home while we are there. We are planning on heading up to Canada in November of this year! We will be doing promotion for Teen Missions throughout the country of Canada as well as looking into what other opportunities there might be for Teen Missions to serve in Canada. We will be looking into the possibility of running a Boot Camp and Bible school in Canada, as well as doing other outreach programs for the First Nations reservations. Please pray for us as we prepare to make this transition as a family!

Thank you for caring for us!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for our family as we serve the Lord here at Teen 20160830_095941Missions. Unfortunately, we are not as financially supported as we need to be at this point, so please pray for us in that regard. We would like to ask you to prayerfully consider supporting us financially to help meet our needs as we serve the Lord full time with Teen Missions.

Please praise the Lord with us for answered prayer in our lives.
