The Petersens…In His Harvest

Dear Family and Friends,

We are so thankful for all of the faithful prayers and support that allow us the opportunity to work in God’s harvest around the world. While world news might seem chaotic, our God is sovereign and continues to empower His Church to boldly share the Good News to every nation.

We have Boot Camps continually running overseas in different countries every month of the year. Over the holidays we had Boot Camps running in Australia, Zambia, South Africa, Honduras and Tanzania.  In the next few months, India, Myanmar and the Philippines are running and this summer it will be Ecuador, Siberia, Malawi, Madagascar, Cameroon, and Mongolia. Young people are being trained to serve the Lord in their own country by Teen Missions staff all throughout the year.  For those of you who do not know, we have 38 Boot Camps, 24 Bible Schools, 32 Orphan Rescue Units, 8 Matron’s Units, 157+ Sunday Schools and 15 Motorcycle Sunday School Missions at 30 bases, in 23 countries around the world! For more information go to To God be the Glory, He is doing great things! Thank YOU for being a part of so many hearing the Word of God each and every day of the year!

We were so excited to see God’s hand in each facet of the 1st Boot Camp for Native American youth last summer. Already, leaders and teens are signing up for our team of Former Team Members (FTMs) from Florida. The Lord willing, they will join us to help run our 2nd Boot Camp this summer. Please join us in prayer for God’s anointing during our Boot Camp training, for boldness in proclaiming the Gospel at the numerous 5K race events across the reservation and safety as we work on various projects for churches and needy families.

I am teaching Synthesis I (Genesis – Leviticus) this term and continue to assist with IT duties in the office and in promotions. Preparations are also being made for our 2nd Native American Boot Camp in New Mexico this summer. Gay is running ‘Petersen Academy’ in the mornings.  It’s hard to believe that Timothy has entered high school and Faith is now in the 6th grade.  Gay serves in the Personnel Dept. during the afternoons. She also helps run the kitchen during some of the weekend retreats at Teen Missions Conference Center. Together, we are ‘rolling the wheels’ for Timothy’s basketball practices and games. Faith is learning piano at the moment and loves doing a variety of crafts.

  • For the health and strength to serve the Lord
  • For the lives impacted during the winter Boot Camps in Australia, Zambia, South Africa, Honduras and Tanzania

Prayer Items:

  • For my dad, Doug Petersen’s full recovery from surgery
  • For effective recruitment and project setup for the 2nd Native American Boot Camp this coming summer
  • For stability at our summer project destinations around the world… that the doors for missionary outreach will remain open and that those God has called will sign up on teams
  • For effective devotion times individually and as a family
  • For Gay and the kids as they home school

Together in His Harvest,

Steve, Gay, Timothy & Faith Petersen
