Steve & Gay Petersen Newsletter (Spring 2017)

Dear Family and Friends,

There are many ups and downs in the Lord’s harvest, but we are grateful for a God who promises that He loves us unconditionally and promises to never leave us or forsake us!

Well, for one, most of the Big Top tents and the Obstacle Course are now up, as we prepare for the summer Boot Camp. On May 6th, we hosted our 3rd annual AIDS Orphans  Mud Run, a 5k course. Over 570 runners participated. We are grateful it went smoothly and generated funds for the orphans.

We continually receive reports about lives changed through the ministries of the Boot Camps, Bible Schools, AIDS Orphans Rescue Units, Motorcycle Sunday School Circuits and Matron Units. You can read these testimonies at Please pray for the summer Boot Camps running this summer in Florida, the Navajo Nation, Madagascar, Malawi, Cambodia, Russia, and Mongolia.

We were awed by the open doors the Lord gave us last summer as we saw changed lives among the native youth and amazing opportunities for evangelism at the ‘Just Move It’ 5k runs that took place throughout the summer. We are trusting the Lord for a bigger Boot Camp this summer with new work projects and outreaches that will have an impact in the Navajo Nation. We plan to travel by bus through Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico with our mighty FTM team in mid June, after which we plan to then run the Native Boot Camp and send out teams across the reservation for community development projects and evangelism.

I (Steve) am currently teaching Personal Evangelism at the Florida BMW in addition to helping where needed in the office (IT, Promotions or outside). Gay is finishing up another year of homeschooling in addition to her work in the Personnel Department and in Finance. Timothy is mowing lawns, practicing basketball and looks forward to working on the farm with the Yoder family this summer in Altha, Florida. Faith is working on piano, enjoys time with friends and plans to join us this summer in New Mexico.

•For the health and strength to serve the Lord

•For the work accomplished by the Spring Work team at our Boot Camp location in Tse Bonito, NM in April. Volunteers from my home church, Redeemer Temple, and from the West Coast (Larry and Steve) recovered, cleaned, and inventoried many items from the fire and were a great encouragement! THANK YOU!

Alex was a huge blessing in the kitchen for Miss Gay!

Thanks Redeemer family for all the hard work. (Also to Larry Fast and Steve Martin for the expert inventory and words of wisdom!)

Please pray for our “Pioneers” – Native American Boot Camp former team members to be strong in the Lord and hear His call on their lives
