For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles,
to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.” Acts 13:47
This verse has been a great encouragement to us as we continue to light our light and share the Word of God to all people. God brought us together for His great purpose and we are so thankful for His plan in our lives.
WOW! It sure can rain a lot here!
Last Thursday we were only able to do our witnessing and surveys at the fairs for a few hours because a large rain storm came through this whole area. We praise God that we were able to pack up everything quickly and that God brought us all back safely. Even though we only had a few hours, we rejoice to share with you that five people decided to accept Jesus as their personal Savior.
Last Friday was our last day at the four fairs that we were serving. Lord willing, next week we will be going to five fairs every day in the state of Kentucky. The fruit report for our first week of fairs is 543 people surveyed with 41 of them accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior! We rejoice at the abundance of fruit that we have seen in such a short time and we look forward with great anticipation to much more fruit in the coming three weeks of fairs.
The team is doing a wonderful job in being diligent to evangelize many people and do teenage/spiritual surveys.
Saturday was a relaxing day for us and we were able to get some much-needed extra rest and we worked on our memory verses as well. We also did our library reading and devotions today as well. Last Saturday we also had fun celebrating Joshua and Eli’s birthday. Even though Joshua is only one day older than Eli, he had fun pointing out that he is now “older than him!”.
Today we had Asian cuisine as requested by Eli and Joshua who were both born in Asia— Indonesian fried chicken, Chinese noodles, fried rice, and green beans. Redika made two cakes for the birthday boys and they were quite delicious.
On Sunday we had a wonderful time sharing in two churches. We split up into two groups and one went to a Presbyterian church and the other group went to a non-denominational house church in the country. Both teams did a great job with their presentations and dramas in both churches, Keir and Chase shared their testimonies and Stefani and Sabrina, Kate, and Micah really like their drama presentation. and before lunch, the other group came and joined the house church group for a delicious lunch. After lunch we had a fun time of horseback riding and a fun time swimming in the nearby lake.
Please continue to pray for us as we continue to share Jesus with many needy souls at five more fairs this week in Kentucky.
All the team members say hi to their parents and that they are looking forward to sharing all the wonderful that things God has done in and through their lives and service for Him
