The Zambia Team Is On The Move!

The team is now traveling today and as promised here are their updates.

“So, we left the bush this morning and it was pretty sad, but these last two and a half weeks have truly been a growing experience. It’s almost unexplainable unless you were actually here to experience it yourself. All of the pure-hearted and kind-eyed little kids made this trip worth going through Boot Camp. We have only a little more than a week left in Zambia and we’re going to see Victoria Falls which will just add to the unforgettable moments of this trip, but I’m also so excited to come home and share all of my stories and the things that we learned. I love you and miss you soo soo much Mama, dad, Amaya and Porter. See you in a couple weeks.” -Sydney

“Hi, family and friends! The time here in Zambia has flown by. We’re currently on our way back to the TMI base in N’dola from the bush. It was hard to leave the Rescue Unit this morning because I’ve grown to love Zambia and the people here. I’m beyond excited to go to Livingston and see Victoria Falls in a few days! I hope that everything at home is going good and I can’t wait to see and talk to you all (friends and family) P.s. Mom words can’t express how much I love, miss and appreciate you!” – Grace F.

“Hello from Zambia! Our time at Wan’gibisha Rescue Unit has come to an end, unfortunately, but we are all looking forward to Livingston. It was really neat to connect with the kids regardless of the language barrier and really love on them. Our time in Zambia may be coming to an end, but we are still going strong. Mom, Dad, Sarah, Abigail and Hannah I can’t wait to see you and tell you all about this adventure. With love, Elizabeth”

“I’m writing this in the back of the bus on my friends back. Five people to a four seater, with a friend laying across us. (I hope you’re comfy), Today was the hardest day yet. I had to say goodbye to my favorite kids. I’m not going to spoil my journey yet but be prepared to send me back to Zambia!! Love you guys.” -Eve

“Today was the day we left the bush. It was so difficult looking into the teary eyes of the orphans as we said our last goodbyes. I’m already planning my next trip to Zambia. God has called me to such a beautiful place and I couldn’t be happier. I love you guys!”-Courtney

“Today was the saddest day we’ve had; we left the unit. I made so many friendships with orphans and interns and it was emotional leaving them. These kids have shown me what true love is. I miss my family like crazy, but I’m excited to share what God has done! I love you guys like crazy. Keep those orphans in your prayers. Love, Ali ”
