“Our God is an awesome God!” is one of the songs we have sung in our presentations and one of the things we are quite aware of! He is using us, dirty rotten sinners saved by grace to go out on the highways and byways and sow seeds of the Gospel wherever they may take root. His grace is abundant and His mercy never ends! He is continuing to use us to do mighty things and He gets ALL the glory!
Today was our biggest day yet regarding the number of people we have surveyed and the number of souls saved! Half of us were in Mt. Carmel, Illinois (where the founder of TTT Youth Ministries is from) and the Lord really used us in big ways. There were nine of us there including two from TTT (Shelly and Bree). We surveyed 71 people and 19 of them accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior! We rejoice at the abundance of fruit that the Lord allowed us to see and pluck from the trees of unsaved souls!
One of the girls that Sabrina surveyed was the younger daughter of a Pastor and his wife who also had a booth at our fair today. She accepted Jesus as her Savior and afterward she wanted us to go over to her church’s booth and tell her parents!
We surveyed her other two sisters and one had already accepted Jesus as her Savior in the past and the other one had already done so when she was 7 or 8.
The other TMI group was in Lawrenceville and surveyed 34 people and four of them accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior!
Last night the whole team enjoyed finally being able to be all at the same fair together in Lawrenceville. Redika and her kitchen helpers for the day (KP) made us a delicious Mexican dinner that we enjoyed eating at the fair.
Monday we had a really fun day at Holiday World roller coaster and water park. We divided up into different groups and conquered many fun rides that needed conquering!
Micah and Keir’s parents shipped our whole team some delicious chocolates from Italy which we really enjoyed and appreciated very much. It was very kind and thoughtful of them to bless us in that delicious way!
This Friday night will be our last night evangelizing at the county fairs. It is surprising to some of us just how quickly the summer has gone by! Joshua was saying this in the van on the way back from the Lawrenceville fair last night. We have seen the Lord continue to work in the hearts of all the team members and they are continuing to grow closer together as a team. Some of them have made lifelong friends and that is really neat to see.
Kate has been a great joy to have here and it has been wonderful to see the changes in her throughout our time here. At first, she was a bit shy in doing the surveys but as time has gone by she has become much bolder in sharing Christ daily. She loves doing the presentations. Grace had realized that it was difficult for her to get out of her comfort zone and talk with a lot of people, but God has been growing her and she is now feeling more experienced and joyful about sharing her faith boldly outside of her comfort zone.
“This summer has been an eye-opening experience for me. God is showing me how much individual people need Christ and also has been working on me in a deep way helping me realize how much I continually need Him in my life. We live in a sinful world and we are all wicked people at heart by nature. Sometimes we don’t realize the seriousness of that. The amazing thing is that a completely, holy, perfect, righteous, mighty, awesome, and beautiful God would want a relationship with sinners like us. That He loves us and would sacrifice royalty, Jesus, is an amazing thing. That Jesus would have the joy to suffer for me is pretty amazing. I am blessed by how God has worked in my life and how He continues to work on me. I want to be used by Christ and He has done that and He continues to help me grow.
