Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team
The country of Ecuador is one the most ecologically and culturally diverse nations in the world. From the Andes Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, you will have the unique opportunity to see God’s beautiful creation while serving the people of Ecuador.
Travel: After your training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a flight across the Straits of Florida, Cuba and the Caribbean Sea to Bogota, Colombia. A connecting flight takes you to Quito, the capital of Ecuador. From Quito you bus three hours to Santo Domingo and into La Concordia. This is the new location of the Teen Missions in Ecuador Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center.
Ministry: The project will include building a multi-purpose pavilion, which will be used for Boot Camp rallies and classes along with future BMW studies. The team may have the opportunity to help harvest the crops that are grown at the base. The local churches will wholeheartedly welcome your team to share the Gospel through music and testimonies.
Adventure: While in Quito you will have the opportunity to visit La Mitad del Mundo and stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at the same time as you straddle the Equator! While in Guayaquil you will visit an Artisan Mall where you will have ample time to shop for souvenirs such as hammocks, wool clothing, blankets, jewelry, dolls and paintings.
Project Expense: $3290 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.
“Ecuador is even more beautiful than I’d imagined, every sunrise and starry sky continues to amaze me. The people here at camp are so kind and despite the language barrier, we’ve all found friends in the Playas national team members. Although it’s only been a few weeks, I can already see the work God has done here both in and through us.”
“The Ecuador mission trip has been a wild ride with sightseeing, new people, new food and hard work. We have had some Ecuadorian kids from the Playas team working with us. We have been able to spend time with them as they do their mission trip with us. Together we can spread the Gospel in this country more efficiently. When I get a little homesick, I am so thankful that I have a home to be sick for.”
“This trip has been amazing! The whole team has enjoyed working with the nationals and we were blessed to attend their Commissioning Service. We all learn new things about each other daily and I have made many great friends on my team and in Ecuador.”
