Dates: June 16 – August 10, 2018
Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team
Visit the Mongolian steppe and land of gers (Mongolian Yurts) while you minister to youth in Mongolia this summer.
Travel: After Commissioning, you will bus to the Miami International Airport for a flight across the Atlantic Ocean and Europe to Istanbul, the capital of Turkey. A connecting flight takes you across the Black Sea and Kyrgyzstan before arriving in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
Ministry: Upon arrival, you bus to the countryside where you will help run the Mongolian Boot Camp. Relationships will be built as you share the lessons you learned in Florida with the Mongolian team members. You may have the opportunity to teach classes, judge the Obstacle Course, or be “Miss Piggy” or “Mr. OC”. After the Mongolian teens commission, your team will travel to an orphanage where you will complete some much-needed repairs on their building. You will play games and share about the love of Jesus through songs, drama and balloons with the children living in the orphanage.
Adventure: You may have the opportunity to visit one of the beautiful national parks near Ulaanbaatar and ride a camel or hold an eagle on your arm. After your amazing summer, you will return to Istanbul, Turkey, where you may have the opportunity to shop at the Grand Bazaar before returning to Debrief.
Project Expense: $4590 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.
“Mongolia is an amazing country, and the people here are very friendly and interesting. It has been a lot of fun hanging out with our translator and the kids in the orphanage and learning more about the country and their culture.”
“Mongolia has been an absolute blessing because I have grown in my faith with Christ so much. My team is amazing and has been a really awesome encouragement as I walk in my faith with Christ. I love everything about Mongolia, and the people are really nice.”
“Staying in Mongolia, working with the kids and helping build the teen center has been such an experience. It’s really cool to see how God is working through our team, and how if we work together, we can overcome hard things. It’s absolutely amazing here, and it will be heartbreaking to leave. There is still so much work to do here, but God always has a plan.”
