Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team
Travel to the Republic of South Africa, the southernmost country in Africa, with over 1,730 miles of coastline stretching along the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
Travel: After Commissioning, you will bus to the Miami International Airport for a flight across the Atlantic Ocean and Europe to Istanbul the capital of Turkey. You take a connecting flight across the whole African continent from north to south, crossing the Sahara Desert, the Equator, and the Rift Valley before arriving in Johannesburg, South Africa. You will then bus one hour north to the Teen Missions in South Africa Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center located in Pyramid, just outside the South African capital, Pretoria.
Ministry: Your ministry will be to share the Gospel through dramas alongside the national Circuit Riders during their ministry with Motorcycle Sunday School Mission. Training at Boot Camp will equip you to teach Bible lessons, phonics classes, Bible quizzing, balloon art and to play lots of games with the children. You will also assist with finishing the life-size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle. When the team is at the base, you will be involved with the BMW students’ ministries and work projects.
Adventure: Enjoy a safari to Pilanesberg National Game Park where you may see cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino, known as the African “Big Five”. Shopping for handcrafted items of wooden animal carvings, canes, bright colored clothing, baskets and beaded jewelry in the markets will make this an unforgettable summer!
Project Expense: $4490 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.
“It’s so incredible to see all the kids who have literally next to nothing, but yet have so much joy. They are constantly playing and having fun despite having to use a ball of trash as a soccer ball and few having shoes on their feet. They are a constant reminder that you don’t have to have any material things to be a light for Christ and to have joy in your life.”

"Boot Camp has definitely been one of the most challenging things I’ve done but I believe it will be one of the most rewarding experiences. Personal devotions every morning has become my favorite thing and the Lord has been speaking to me a lot. The verse I have been clinging onto to give me perseverance through Boot Camp has been Hebrews 12:3, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on the Jesus, the pioneer and the perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”"
