Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)

Work & Evangelism Team

Adventure, excitement and ministry await you this summer as you serve the Lord in Taichung, Taiwan!

Travel: After Boot Camp you will fly from the Orlando International Airport across the Gulf of Mexico, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona to Los Angeles, California. From Los Angeles you board a flight that crosses the Pacific Ocean and the International Date Line before arriving in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. From the airport you then bus two hours southwest to Taichung.

Ministry: Your project is a two-fold ministry. You will build a wooden maze at a local school that will be used as a teaching tool. You will also teach English as a second language and enjoy practicing friendship evangelism using games, music and puppets.

Adventure: A day trip is planned to Taipei where you be able to go to the top of Taipei 101, currently the third tallest skyscraper in the world. The Feng Chia Night Market, (the largest night market in the country) offers the opportunity to shop for souvenirs such as wall hangings, jewelry, silk scarves, clothing and famous Chinese teas, as well as give you the chance to sample food from over 150 food stalls!

Project Expense: $4490 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Boot Camp Experience

"Boot Camp is hard, but once you get into the routine of the days it gets easier. There are a lot of things that are specifically designed to help you face your fears, which is great because it really helps you grow as a person and as a team because people are encouraging each other."

Boot Camp Highlight

“In just four days God has reminded me of so much.  Before I came to Boot Camp, I was seriously struggling to stand up for Christ.  Being a teenager means a lot of peer pressure and a mindset that you know what’s best.  But Boot Camp has reminded me, that I am not alone in the fight; and that in fact I truly do not know what’s best.  So in four days, Boot Camp has encouraged me to surrender it all to Him and that in the end praising Him in all we do should be our greatest joy.”

Summer Highlight

“Nepal has been such an unforgettable experience. God’s presence has been so strong here. Time and time again He has made such provisions for our team; whether holding off the rain, providing tools, or extra help, He has done SO much. I am so thankful for this team, and our leaders. We are blessed to have bonded so quickly. I thank God for the lifelong friends I have made, as well as the incredible memories that I will keep in my heart forever!”

  1. Hi, my name is Nate, I am going to Taiwan and was wondering if I
should leave some of my camping stuff at the Lord’s Boot Camp seeing as we will be staying in a more modern place.

    • Nate, Yes, that is an option. You can pick it up at Debrief or donate it to the “Missionary Barrel” where it will be cleaned and sent to Africa.
