Dates: June 19 – July 27, 2018
Preteen Missions Trip (ages 10-12)
Work & Evangelism Team
Spend your summer working in the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro and sharing the Gospel among the Chagga people of Tanzania!
Travel: After Commissioning you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to Montreal, Canada, before boarding a flight across the Atlantic Ocean to Paris, France. A connecting flight takes you across the Equator to Nairobi, Kenya, before going on to the Kilimanjaro International Airport. From the airport you will travel by bus one hour to the Teen Missions in Tanzania Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center located near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Ministry: Your project will be to plant fruit trees around the border of the Teen Missions in Tanzania property. By planting fruit trees at our base, you will help provide fresh fruit full of good nutrients to the Tanzania students, interns and staff for years to come. Using a Wordless Bracelet or acting out a story from the Bible will be ways to share the Gospel message found in Jesus Christ. There will also be opportunities to share using puppets, music and testimonies.
Adventure: You will still have time for more adventure when you enjoy a day on a Safari where you may get to see the “Big Five” (leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, cape buffalo and lion) animals for which Tanzania is known. You will also have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs such as Tanzanite jewelry, wood carvings and drums among many other items available to help you remember this once in a lifetime experience.
Project Expense: $3890 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.
“I love Africa! I always look forward to Melisa Foster [Rescue Unit]. It was awesome to go to an African church! I enjoyed listening to the songs in their languages.”

“I learned to do things with a good attitude and with a smile because you are serving the Lord. I have been trying my hardest to do things with a happy heart and to serve the Lord completely.”
