Dates: June 16 – August 3, 2018
Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team
This team will journey to the beautiful country of Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, and spend the summer sharing the Good News of Jesus in area villages and assist with ongoing projects on our base.
Travel: After Commissioning, you will fly from Orlando to Toronto, Canada, and on to London, England. From London, a connecting flight takes you across the English Channel, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Equator before arriving in Nairobi, Kenya, and then on to Entebbe, Uganda. It is a five-hour drive from the airport to the Teen Missions Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center in Jinja.
Ministry: This team has a two-fold ministry. While serving in Uganda, you will have evangelism opportunities as you visit nearby soccer fields and schools to join the children in soccer matches. When the team is at the base, you will be involved with the BMW students’ ministries and work projects.
Adventure: The source of the Nile River, a place that early missionary and explorer David Livingstone looked for all his life but never found, is located in Jinja! Visit it and enjoy a cruise on Lake Victoria where you will see a variety of birds as well as monkeys. Try your hand at bartering for souvenir items such as wood carvings, beadwork, colorful fabrics and drums.
Project Expense: $4490 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.
Boot Camp Highlight
“Boot Camp is such an amazing eye opener to the plight of others in third-world countries. We think we have lost so much here, but we are living lavishly compared to them. Boot Camp is an incredible place to learn to give up the insignificant things of the world in exchange for what really matters complete reliance on Christ.”
Marina K. | 2017 Malawi Team
"We have enjoyed a week of community outreach and now are bussing out to the bush for two weeks. The past few days we have had the opportunity to present in front of the Bible School students and a Zambian Church where we also attended the service. Before that, we attended two of the weekly Sunday schools held by the Teen Missions staff and students. During these events, we played soccer and helped with the lesson. The whole team is excited for this new leg of our journey, and we hope to make a great impact in the AIDS orphans lives.”

Boot Camp Experience
"Boot Camp is fun, it’s difficult, but it’s worth it! I would encourage ALL of you guys that are hesitant to come to COME! It’s the experience of your life, and it brings you closer to Jesus. I’m thankful to be a part of Boot Camp 2017!”
