Zambia Well Drilling

Zambia— Africa

Dates: June 16 – August 10, 2018

Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)

Work & Evangelism Team

Spend your summer in Zambia, Africa, where your mission is not only to bring fresh water to a village, but also to bring the Living Water—Jesus Christ!

Travel: After Commissioning you bus to the Orlando International Airport where you catch a flight to Washington D.C., our nation’s capital.  From here you cross the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea and over the Sahara Desert to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Your next flight takes you to Ndola, Zambia, where the Teen Missions in Zambia Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center is located. After an overnight at the base, you will pack up supplies and then head out to a remote village that is in desperate need for clean water.

Ministry: At the Lord’s Boot Camp you will be trained in how to operate a drilling rig like the one you will be using in Zambia. While drilling the well in the village, hundreds of children and adults will gather to see what is happening. This will give the team ample opportunities to share the Gospel using puppets, songs, Bible stories and games.  Many seeds will be planted in the lives of this eager crowd.

Adventure: Before leaving Zambia, a trip is planned to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, discovered by David Livingstone in 1855.  Enjoy a river safari cruise on the Zambezi River, which is the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. You may see hippos, elephants and other wildlife. Wood and stone carvings, copper bracelets, jewelry and traditional drums are some of the souvenirs you may take home to friends and family.

Project Expense: $4590 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Zambia Experience

"Throughout this trip, I’ve told myself that I’ll only be in Zambia once in my entire life so I’ve really tried to soak it all up and enjoy it for these last couple of weeks that I’m here for. I’ve truly grown a lot throughout this trip, not only in my faith but just overall."

Zambia Ministry

"We have enjoyed a week of community outreach and now are bussing out to the bush for two weeks. The past few days we have had the opportunity to present in front of the Bible School students and a Zambian Church where we also attended the service. Before that, we attended two of the weekly Sunday schools held by the Teen Missions staff and students. During these events, we played soccer and helped with the lesson. The whole team is excited for this new leg of our journey, and we hope to make a great impact in the AIDS orphans lives.”

  1. Hi. I’m Kaden from Colorado. Are you registered for this trip next year? I’ve never been out of the country but my dad has been to Zimbabwe with Teen Missions as well as Russia, Finland, and Papua New Guinea. My sister is also an FTM and has been to Malawi and Cambodia. I’m so excited for this trip. I’m a little more than a quarter way to the final financial goal. What about you? (sorry if this is awkward)

  2. Zambia is the most amazing place I’ve ever been and I️ can’t wait to go back. The people there are so amazing and through them God really changed my life in Zambia. I️ would reccomend this team to anyone.

    1. Yes Ali, I agree. I went to Zambia during the summer of 2016 with TMI and I absolutely fell in love with the people and the culture. Something about Zambia just captures your heart and you will never be the same (in a good way)! I definitely recommend this team!!! I’m so excited for everyone that is already signed up for the Zambia Well-Drilling Team, and I hope that the Lord uses Zambia to change your life like He did mine.

      In Christ,
      Kayla Watkins 🙂
