Steve & Gay Petersen Newsletter (Winter 2018)

Dear Family & Friends,

Winter Ministry

We jumped right into work following our trip to New Mexico. Gay reorganized the school schedule and began a new year at ‘Petersen Academy’. I began teaching Minor Prophets for the Fall term at Florida Free BMW.  In November, we attended the 50th Anniversary celebration of my sending church in Denver, Colorado. Before our arrival, we learned that our head pastor Tim Theisen has gone to be with Jesus. We had a sweet celebration of his life even as we look forward to seeing him again, thanks to the shed blood of Jesus on the cross and His glorious resurrection! I have taken on an expanded role in the Video Department and continue to serve in Promotions and in IT. Gay has moved from Finance back into the Personnel Department. She still serves on rotation in the retreat center kitchen.

Summer Assignments

Currently, we are assigned to lead the South Africa Drama team. In addition to evangelism, the team plans to work on completing and setting up Teen Missions’ first life-sized Tabernacle replica overseas. We are looking forward to seeing and serving alongside our South African staff.

Spring Work

Currently, I am assigned to help setup up the life-sized replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle in Cibolo, Texas in May. The Tabernacle ministry serves as a witnessing tool (Jesus in in EVERY part of the Tabernacle design). Donations go to support the AIDS Orphans ministry.

Summer For Timothy & Faith

After a summer serving on a farm in north Florida, Timothy is signed up again this summer to serve on a work team to Fiji. His favorite place is serving on a summer team. Faith has also entered the teen ranks (13!) and has registered as a full fledged team member with us on the South Africa Drama team. We are glad that they share our passion to live out their faith in service for our King!

Thank You!

We are so honored and humbled to see God’s faithful provision supplied month after month. Thank you for your prayers and support; allowing us to serve our mighty God in this ministry.
