Samuel & Redika McCracken Newsletter (Spring 2018)

Dear family, friends, ministry partners, and FTM’S,

Greetings from Sunny, Florida! It is important for everyone and us as missionaries to always keep in mind that everyday we do face enemy of flesh and blood, but of spiritual hosts of wickedness and demonic activity everywhere. As we labor for the Lord daily we know that we are more than conquerers through Him who loves us. We thank each and every one of you who have prayed for us. We have definitely felt your prayers and know that they really make a big difference in how effective we can be for Jesus in ministry to others and His saints here and worldwide. “The fervent effective prayers of the righteous man avails much.” James 5:16

Ministry happenings

We have all been quite busy preparing for the upcoming AIDS Orphans benefit Mud Run (May 5) and the long anticipated 2018 Lord’s Boot Camp coming soon! It’s only a plane ride away and not too late to join or volunteer! Where has the last year gone? It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were finishing up our exciting summer at the county fairs, then Christmas came and went and now it is almost time for another amazing summer! God REALLY blessed us with three work groups who all worked really hard in helping us get all our Big Top tents up and many other much needed projects as well. One was a group of sixty teenagers from a Christian school in Memphis,Tennessee who volunteered for one day and they really got a lot done! They helped to put three of our big top tent for preteen, peanut and muster seed.

Having fun lacing our Big Top

Another work group that came for one week was our dear friends the Brunsons, their parents, and some teenagers from several other churches. They worked really hard in helping us lay out and prepare our biggest Big Top tent and we had lots of fun together putting it up along with many other volunteers who came and blessed us with their help. God enabled us to put up the whole thing in one morning! We enjoyed a great lunch together and then went home! We rejoice that a few of them are very interested in going on teams this summer! All this extra help has resulted in us being on schedule and even a little ahead in our many preparations for the Mud Run and Boot Camp. This is a big relief to all the staff and students who sometimes struggle to get everything done in time for Boot Camp Arrival Day. (June 16 this year).

Exciting summer trip to Arizona!

Redika and I are heading out West this summer! We are helping with the Arizona Preteen Navajo outreach team and we are so excited to be pouring into to the lives of these precious kids on our team as well as being a light for Christ to many Navajo people who need more of the light of Jesus. Our project will include; laying landscape bricks around trees, digging trenches for an RV park septic system and also digging trenches for electrical and water lines. During our two week intensive ministry and work training time together, we will have classes on spiritual growth, Bible study, evangelism, music, drama, puppets, and construction which will greatly help us in preparations for an exciting, effective summer in Arizona being a great blessing to El Nathan ministries and all the precious Navajo people that Jesus died to save. We have a few exciting opportunities to share our faith through music, puppets and testimonies in a few Navajo Christian churches. We look forward to our sightseeing day when we plan to go to see the breathtaking, beautiful Grand Canyon

Samuel helped lead this same team in 2013 and it as an incredible and amazing life changing summer for all! We saw God work mightily through each of us as we loved on the Navajo people and shined the light of Jesus everywhere we went. The ministry that we were staying with hosted a Christian Navajo conference during our stay there and we were blessed to share our testimonies and team presentation with puppets and songs and drama to a large room full of adults and children! They enjoyed it very much and were encouraged in their faith.

Thank you!
We thank everyone who faithfully prays for us and we are also so appreciative of our faithful monthly financial partners who greatly bless us each month. You are a VERY important part of the success of our ministry and we could not do it without you! So thank you again to everyone who has ever prayed or partnered with us financially. You share in the eternal fruit of all the lives that are changed and affected for the Gospel through our ministry which is yours too!

Please pray for our summer ministry

Becoming a summer partner!
Redika and I are trusting the Lord to provide $1,490 for us to be able to help lead this awesome team of preteens this summer! Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us in our mission for Jesus this summer with a one time gift of $50? If thirty people assist us in this way then our need will be met. We have sent out a few letters to a few of our friends about this special opportunity and are prayerfully, excitedly waiting to see how God will provide for this need though many of you our dear friends. We have set a goal of May 20 to get all our funds in, however late donations can be sent as well. Our team arrives on June 19!

If God put in your heart to help us with our summer funds, please make the check payable to Teen Missions Int’l with note for the McCrackens summer team #18072 Navajo preteen.
