Greetings from The Lord’s Boot Camp! It is so hard to believe that is is Sunday already! We are more than half way done with Boot Camp and one week from today, we will be preparing to fly away from here. It’s starting to get exciting, folks!
The Holy Land Team is doing well. We are really starting to bond as a family. We have learned how to work together (with the help of a team SB), sing together, and play together! As I type this, I can hear the team having fun swimming in the pool. We won the Clean Award last night at rally. The pool feels so good after a hot afternoon of Boot Camp Olympic games. We all had a good time competing. Tonight is Alligator Pizza and 500-gallon milkshake night. Everyone is VERY excited for milkshakes and pizza. Last night we had popcorn and watched the Teen Missions movie, “Mud, Sweat and Cheers” after evening rally.
We had KP today and they all did very well helping serve and do dishes.
We have had several team members make commitments to the Lord and even had one completely surrender his life to God! Keep praying that we can finish Boot Camp strong and prepare to go to Isreal. There is still so much to learn and so much packing to do!
Thank you for your prayers so far!
For years, I have struggled with trusting God in all situations, both good and bad. I try too hard to control my own situations. Recently, the verse Psalm 55:22 has helped me start to give control to God. It says, “Cast your cares on the Lord, and He will sustain you. He will not let the righteous be shaken.” Teen Missions has helped me give control over to God. My goal for this summer is to finally, fully rely on God to get me through anything and everything. Becca C,
I have come to understand that Boot Camp is necessary. We need to be trained on how to respect each other and what to do in the countries where we are going. Although Boot Camp can be rough at times, I am super excited to go to Israel. Victoria E,
