Dear family and friends,
Greetings from beautiful Arizona! We have REALLY enjoyed our time here and we are a little sad that it is quickly coming to and end, but also excited that they will be seeing their parents and families soon.
Ministry and sightseeing
We have been having sightseeing this past three days, but we also used the opportunity to share tracks and gospel coins at the flea market and also gas stations. We will continue sharing them at some of the gas stations on our long journey home. The team was so excited to share the gospel coins and the tracks as well and our kids kept asking for more of them!
This Monday we visited slide rock but unfortunately the weather was bad with thunderstorm and we were not able to swim.
Tuesday we went to the Grand Canyon and it was amazing to see the beauty of this incredible vast creation of the Lord! We visited the Museum, visitor’s center, and we hiked a trail down the Grand Canyon. We rejoice that there were no injuries and the Lord kept our feet “llike the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights.”
2 Samuel 22:34 ESV The team really enjoyed these sightseeing experiences and the views were breathtaking and unforgettable!
Wednesday we spent it at very large flea market for our main souvenir shopping time and they also enjoyed some Navajo burgers and “mutton burgers” which is lamb meat on the delicious traditional deep fried bread. After the flea market we went to the Navajo multicultural museum and also saw the beauty of painted desert.
We mostly spent this three days sightseeing however we were also able to spent a half day working on continuing our two work projects. The kids are learning how to work together as they learn new work skills. We praise the Lord that we have made good progress on our work projects and we hope that we can finish them by Friday afternoon.
We thank God that although it has rained some everyday, we have not had really heavy rain until today. We had another MASSIVE rain storm Monsoon like we had three days ago and this time it hailed A LOT! It was exciting to see all the rain rushing down the mountain and through the property. However it was also sad to see all our work from after the last big storm of raking all the mulch back in place go traveling through the property. We were able to spend a little time this afternoon re-raking it back in place but there is still A LOT more to do. Please pray that we’ll have time to finish it and the two work projects as well as finish packing everything out for leaving early Saturday morning. We rejoice that we were all safe and that we are still staying in cabins for the rest noir time here.
Lord willing we plan to leave early Saturday morning and will spend the night in Texas and continue on to Louisiana and spend a night there and on Monday Lord willing we will be arrive in Florida.
Please lift us up in your prayers as we travel across the USA from Saturday through Monday.
Couple days ago we went to slide rock but we couldn’t go to the water because it was thundering and lightning then the next day we went to Grand Canyon and hike down Tanner trailhead. I was amazed at the beauty of God’s creation in the Grand Canyon. Then yesterday we went to flea market and I bought things for my parents and grandparents I am so excited that we are leaving in two days and that I will see my parents in last then a week. I can’t wait to see my parents again. Benjamin N.
