Holy Land Report

We cannot believe our time here is coming to a close. This will be our last report since we head to the airport on Sunday to catch an early morning flight out.

We have had a very eventful week.  On Tuesday, we had a sightseeing day to Masada, the Jordan River, the Dead Sea and the Quamran caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. What an incredible day it was!  We rode a cable car to the top of Masada.  It was very hot day, but we all enjoyed seeing it all.  The team took a big hike up a mountain at the caves.  We got in the Jordan River and floated in the Dead Sea.  It is a day we will never forget.
Today we went to Jerusalem to volunteer at Christ Church again and we also had a tour of the tunnels under the Western Wall.  We had an excellent tour guide named Batya who amazed us with the construction and the story behind It all.  Our last day at Christ Church was a real blessing. They staff and volunteers have all blessed us so much and they were so grateful for all the work we were able to do for them.
Most evenings we play a group game before team time or we quiz.  They love to play games together and we are have been joined by kids from the neighborhood a few times.  Simon, the young man who lives here at the school, joins us as well.
We will spend the next two days completing our work here at Hope School.  Then we will clean the school and pack to leave for the airport on Sunday evening.
All of the team members have now had the opportunity to lead group devotions and share their testimony.  This week we concluded with August, Thomas and Cameron.
Parents, you should he very proud of your kids.  They have worked hard, been very helpful, and each one of them has grown in their faith and relationship with the Lord.
Please pray for safe travels home and that we will finish strong and stay healthy.

We send our love to all our families at home!
