Fiji— Pacific

Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)

Work & Evangelism Team

Travel: After training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport where you board a flight over the southern United States to Los Angeles. Following a layover, you will fly over the Pacific Ocean, crossing over Hawaii, before landing in Nadi, Fiji. Once you retrieve your luggage, you will board minivans for the short trip past sugar c

ane fields to the Sabeto Youth Camp which will be your project site for the summer. The view from this beautiful camp, will take your breath away. The wide open spaces, comfortable mild weather, sunrises and sunsets along with viewing the stars at night will be a part of your daily experiences.

Ministry: Your team project will be to build a fence surrounding this property. There will also be smaller projects, such as painting and pouring sidewalks that need to be accomplished. In addition to the work projects, there will be opportunities to visit local schools where you will share the love of Christ with the students, many of them from a Muslim or Hindu background. There may also be an opportunity to visit a local orphanage for more ministry opportunities. On Sundays you will do presentations in local churches.

Adventure: It will not be all work and no play, as you will be visiting a local beach where there may be an opportunity to snorkel in the clear blue waters of the Pacific. You will also hike two miles to the Sleeping Giant Zipline where you will have the opportunity to zipline through the local rainforest, hike to a waterfall and enjoy swimming at the base of the waterfall. There will also be opportunities to shop in Nadi where you can barter for souvenirs such as wood-carvings, t-shirts, colorful Fijian shirts and wrap skirts and you will not want to come home without a Fijian ukulele.

Project Expense: $4890 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Boot Camp Testimony

“At Boot Camp this year, I learned that the Lord is going to give me challenges that are going to be hard. But God will give me, and everyone who asks for help, the strength they need. For me, at Boot Camp, it was homesickness. But in devotions, God showed me that I’m not alone and that He will always be there for me. Joshua 1:9 is a verse that reminds me of how God will help you with problems, no matter what they are.”

Boot Camp Experience

"I have loved every second of Boot Camp, even though the first few days were hard. I have enjoyed learning how to lay blocks, and how to build things as well as how to work as a team. I love our leaders and I can’t wait to keep learning more over the next few days."
