When you think of Africa, do you think of Kenya— the land of exotic animals, diverse terrain and unforgettable people?

Kenya – Africa

Dates: June 15 – August 2, 2019
Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team

Travel: After Boot Camp training is completed, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a short flight to Charlotte, North Carolina, before continuing along the Atlantic coast line to JFK International Airport in New York City. From JFK you board your next flight across the North Atlantic, France, Italy, the Mediterranean Sea and the Sahara Desert before arriving in Nairobi, Kenya, located just south of the Equator. A six-hour bus ride will take you back across the Equator to Eldoret.

Ministry: Your team will be helping with work projects at the Jesus Loves Ministry, home to many children rescued from the streets. Projects that you may be involved in are painting buildings, along with digging up the ground and installing drip irrigation. There will be opportunities to share the Gospel through street evangelism using dramas, puppets, songs and testimonies.

Adventure: You will have the opportunity to visit the Lake Nakuru Game Reserve where you may see baboons, flamingos, giraffe, rhinos, warthogs, water buffalo and zebra. There will be time to shop in Nakuru for baskets, jewelry and wooden carvings. On your way back, you may stop at the Equator and get your picture taken with one foot in each hemisphere!

Project Expense: $4790 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Honduras Adventure

“Our time here in Honduras has been the adventure of a lifetime! From riding through the country in the back of a pickup truck to gliding down the cool, dark river on a motorboat, this trip has been like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The opportunities we’ve had to share God’s love and Good News have been numerous, and it’s been so much fun even just to be able to hang out with the children in the villages we are visiting. The culture is startlingly different, and yet the people of Honduras have the same need for Jesus as anywhere else.”

Honduras Training

“Training at the Lord’s Boot Camp was a truly amazing experience. I learned so much more than I thought was possible. I was equipped thoroughly for the field, I became adjusted to less comfortable living conditions and I really improved my cleanliness and work ethic. I also learned about teamwork, faith, calling, and persistence. It honestly took everything in me to get through the last couple weeks. Some days I’d just think to myself, “What am I doing here?” I would have to remember the answer, “I am doing this to answer the calling of the Lord of the universe to spread His words to all of creation.” I am a missionary, and I’m loving every moment of it.”

Honduras Faith

“Coming to Honduras was kind of scary...I mean leaving the country without my parents. But something God showed me one of my first days here is Psalm 27:1 which talks about not being afraid because God is with us. So even though coming here was scary, I know I can do it because God is with me and through Him I can do all things!”
