Florida Preteen

You do not have to go to another country to tell others about Jesus. Sometimes the rest of the world comes to you. People here in Florida need Jesus, too!

Dates: June 18 – July 26, 2019

Preteen Missions Trip (ages 10-12)

Work & Evangelism Team

Ministry: Just as Jabez prayed to enlarge his territory, you will do just that when you volunteer at House of Hope, a local feeding ministry. You will also have the opportunity to volunteer at Seafarers International, a ministry that works with crew members from all over the world, to work on the ships that come into Port Canaveral. You will also build picnic tables for use at Teen Missions. Opportunities are available for evangelism at nearby Cocoa Village, the beaches and local churches.

Adventure: You will learn more about global ministries when you go to the Wycliffe Bible Translators Discovery Center in Orlando. Just down the road from Wycliffe, you will learn about the JESUS Film when you visit Campus Crusade For Christ headquarters. A trip to the Exploration Tower in Cape Canaveral will show you more about the Space Coast—its history, the port and the space program. There are opportunities for souvenir shopping at all three locations.

Project Expense: $1990 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Please note that the projects have been chosen up to a year before they are published. Therefore, projects can change, even at the last minute. Please come with a servant’s heart and be eager to do whatever the mission has a need for, regardless of what was specified. We have been invited back to many places because of our willingness to do whatever is needed. ALL teams are work teams in addition to the project listed. Teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Summer Highlights

“My favorite thing to do at Teen Missions is devotion time. It helps me get to know God better and know what He wants me to do. Throughout this trip, God has taught me many things, but the big thing He taught me is how to get along with people you don’t get along with.”

Forest Angels Adventure

"What I have been doing over at Teen Missions is so much fun! What we did was ride mini bikes a lot, we swam in the lake and pool a lot, and we got to share the Gospel! It has been so much fun on this trip."

  1. This is my first time ever. My nephew did this a few years ago. I want to register but I want to also be sure I can figure out a way to afford it. So is the price of airfare included? What supplies will he need? Certain clothing, shoes an such. Bedding? How much do I pay upfront i know i am a little late being it’s just a few months away?

    1. Amber, It is not too late to apply. Your round-trip transportation to/from FL is not included. You will need to wear boots. Look at our pictures online to get an idea of what clothes are needed. You just pay the $30 registration fee up front and it must be paid in full by the day you arrive, so there is still time to raise your support.
