The Madagascar team has stepped onboard and roller coaster is rounding it’s first curve!
Our first flight (to Miami) was cancelled due to mechanical issues, so that means we missed everything else! We spent 4 1/2 hours on the phone with the airline’s customer service trying to rebook our flights. Our rep, Deanna, was a trooper working hard for us but hit a a roadblock with the foreign airline in one of the details and couldn’t seal the deal. We will have to work with the reps at the airport in the morning who we pray will have someone with enough clout to break through for us. She left a proposed itinerary in our record that would get us started on our journey about the same time tomorrow (Monday).
In the meantime, we are enjoying the night at a nice hotel and some free grub! We will update everyone when we have further developments.
Like the roller coaster, Space Mountain, that is in the dark and you can’t see what is around the next corner, we are riding in the dark just waiting to see where God takes us on this ride! Everyone is tired, but excited about the night in the hotel, and in good spirits.
Thanks for all the prayers – keep them coming!
The office will email the parents with the updated flight information as soon as it becomes concrete.
