Our team began working on Wednesday after having the chance on Tuesday to wash clothes and get organized. During work time, they were moving rocks, carrying water, mixing and pouring concrete for paving the driveway up to the base. They worked five hours on each day Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On the fourth of July, we had a special fun time of playing water balloons with the Preteen team and with the staff and students of the Honduras base and we also sang the U.S. national anthem before we ate a dinner of hamburgers, french fries, and watermelon! The weather has been nice—hot during the day, but not as humid as at Boot Camp, and cools down at night. It has rained most of the nights we have been here so far.
