Jabari!

We are in our final week here in Jinja! I can’t believe five weeks has flown by so quickly. What an honor and a privilege it has been to get to know and love on every single one of your children. They are all so dear to our hearts and we can’t wait for you to see the change and growth that has taken place in such a short period of time. We arrived back in Jinja last Tuesday and we did foot-washing for two Primary schools nearby serving over 250 children.

Saturday we worked in the banana plantation digging holes and cutting down corn stalks. Later in the evening the local kids in the Sunday School Ministry came to the base to play games, hear Bible stories and sing some worship songs. Fun was had by all!  Sunday was a day of rest that was much needed. We attended church that is located on the TMI property that serves the locals here in Nakabango. We did a presentation and then half of the team members taught Sunday school to over 50 kids! We purchased four hens and butchered them to eat for dinner and made the local dish Chapati again. It’s the kids favorite thing to eat and I’m sure you will be learning how to make it when they arrive home in a few short weeks!!

Sunday ended with the staff on this base sharing the local meal with us and Mr. Nelson, our coordinator, sharing his testimony with all of us. It was a beautiful time!

Please pray that we finish our week strong, that everyone remains healthy and that we all return home with a deeper burden for the lost.

Thank you for entrusting your children to us this summer. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few as it says in Matthew and I have seen what a blessing each one of your kids have been to this beautiful nation of Uganda!

  1. Praise the Lord for the opportunity the kids (and leaders) have had to put love into action–to be the hands and feet of Jesus!!! Praying for the team and for those who have been touched by the blessed Gospel of Jesus!!

  2. Thank you so much for posting these updates and pictures. Praying for all the kids to finish strong, stay healthy, and grow stronger in the Lord each day they are there.
