Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray this newsletter finds you all well and strong. We are fine and the Lord has been so gracious to us as a family and to the ministry. We thank God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the opportunity to serve. Can’t put my head around the verse that says “we are co-workers with God.” Wow, we are in partnership with God to bring the people of the world into His kingdom; what a joy to be part of what God is doing.
Northern Zambia Update
I’m filled with joy as I write to you dear ones, to share what God is doing in our lives as well as in ministry. I write from the northern part of Zambia where I have a group of Zambian missionaries with me, working on the shelters. I have been here since the first week of September 2019. We have so far built and have five more to build before I return home. This will allow us to have a total of 22 Sunday schools in this part of the country that is really in need of the gospel. So far we have had 13 Sunday schools and thousands of people attending each week and hundreds are coming to Christ.
Maureen has been very busy in the office writing reports and sending them to our head office. She is also the one responsible to make sure the lessons are ready on time and sent to the 78 Sunday schools we are running around the country. This ministry is bringing hundreds of people to the Lord weekly. We thank you for your support and prayers. We continue to serve because you, the body of Christ, has continued to stand with us as partners in this work of the kingdom. We pray the Lord will continue to keep and bless you and your loved ones. We continue to coordinate the ministry to the orphans and this ministry has been a blessing to many lives. Today we are working the orphans who we helped and wanted to help their fellow orphans as a service to the Lord. We have a total of 20 with the ministry; 10 are on full time staff, four doing internship and six in class at the Teen Mission Bible school and will be joining staff when they complete. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to train His service men and women to take the Gospel message to the ends of the earth. Maureen was teaching Ethics last term and she really enjoyed the class.
The Chamas Girls School Needs:
We thank you for all your support towards our girls education fees and other requirements. School just opened and this is the last term for this year. The girls have been working hard at school and their grades have been very impressive. Tehillah (Praise) is doing her last term in 11th grade before she starts her senior grade next year. Chimwemwe (Joy) will be sitting for her National examination and judging by her school performance we know with God’s help she will make it to 8th grade next year. Keep her in your prayers please. Comfort is also doing very well in her first grade and she is looking forward to the second grade next year. We are so thankful for all your help in meeting their school needs this year which many times has been a burden on us as we serve. The total costs for the girls’ school fees is $970 for the coming year and we would sure appreciate any help toward the school fees.
We are humbled by your support over the years. We know your support means us continuing to serve the Lord and for that we are grateful. May God bless and keep you.
In Christ’s service,
James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit Orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world (NKJV).”
