Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team
Travel: After Boot Camp training is completed, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to Warsaw, via Frankfurt, Germany. Warsaw is a city nearly destroyed in World War II—anything that survived has been lovingly preserved and restored. The medieval buildings are a beautiful site. You will board a bus and travel six hours through the Polish countryside with spectacular rolling hills dotted with small villages comprised of homes and buildings with red roofs and usually a single church with a steeple.
Ministry: Your team will continue construction on the Siloah Evangelical Faith Church by installing thermal insulation and a wood floor on the second story, as well as removing old plaster from the walls inside the building. In addition, you will help with other renovation projects in order to help complete the church. There will be opportunities to share the love of Christ with the local adults, teens and children through music, puppets and dramas.
Adventure: You will enjoy venturing into Jawor during your free time, walking on the stone streets, admiring the architecture of some of the buildings that are hundreds of years old, stopping at the local shops to buy goodies and conversing with the residents. There will be an opportunity to visit the infamous Gross-Rosen concentration camp, one of the Auschwitz concentration camps. You may also visit the Jawor Castle along with the Church of Peace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
Project Expense: $3890 U.S. plus $30 Registration FeeRegister
