If you have an adventurous spirit, enjoy ministering to children, and you’re not afraid of some hard work, then a trip to Honduras may just be the team for you!
Dates: June 13 – August 7
Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team
Travel: After completing your training at The Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a plane for a short flight to Miami. A connecting flight, across the Gulf of Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean Sea, takes you to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. From the airport, you will bus two hours south to the Teen Missions in Honduras Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center near Santa Cruz de Yojoa.
Ministry: Your first stop is Santa Cruz de Yojoa where the project is to continue paving the driveway up to the base. This is such a great need because in the rainy season the vehicles get stuck in the mud on their way up to the BMW and Boot Camp. Your team will also have evangelism opportunities in nearby bilingual schools. You will then travel east by bus and pickup trucks to the new Teen Missions BMW in La Mosquitia, where you will be ministering for two weeks. There you will work alongside the Circuit Riders on the river, sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ through dramas, puppets, music, and games as you play with the kids.
Adventure: You will enjoy the beautiful scenery as you travel by boat to the villages along the Coco and Sico Rivers. At the end of this trip, you will enjoy shopping for hammocks, machetes, jewelry and many other souvenirs, as well as spending a fun day of sightseeing.
Project Expense: $3290 U.S. plus $30 Registration FeeRegister
