Make a difference this summer by helping others in the villages of Pet Inn Gyi and Theik Gone, Myanmar, by providing them with a classroom for education and dorms to have a place to sleep. The country of Myanmar has been closed to outsiders for the last 50 years and 85% of the people are unreached. Will you be the one to go?
Dates: June 13 – July 31, 2020
Teen Missions Trip (ages 13-19)
Work & Evangelism Team
Travel: Following Boot Camp training, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight across the Atlantic Ocean, France and the Mediterranean Sea to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. A connecting flight takes you across the Arabian Sea, India and the Bay of Bengal before arriving in Yangon, the capital of Myanmar. You then bus one hour to your first stop in the village of Pet Inn Gyi.
Ministry: Your team will be helping two ministries expand their outreach. First, you will be constructing classrooms and dorms that will later be filled with students who have been waiting to study God’s Word in a safe environment. Second, the team will travel to a children’s home to complete work on the Saramati Orphanage Home located in Theik Gone. Weekends will be spent teaching English to the students and children or just playing games with the curious onlookers. Puppets, music and dramas are a great way to break cultural barriers and to reach the people with the love of Christ.
Adventure: You may visit National Race Village where all the different ethnic tribes of Myanmar display the diverse culture of the country through dance, traditional handicraft, and customs. Hop on a steam train for a scenic ride around the city or visit the Bogyoke Market and get great deals by bartering on items such as brass, wood, jewelry, tapestries, and many precious stones.
Project Expense: $ 4590 U.S. plus $30 Registration FeeRegister
