Thomas & Jackie Kabwata Newsletter (Winter 2020)

Philippians 1:6 – Being confident of this very thing, that He who has began a good work in you will
complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Greetings to our family and friends and our supporters!

It is always our joy to let you know what is going on in our lives and share what we are doing for the ministry here in Zambia.

Catching up with us since our last update, we are doing fine and a lot has been happening.

*MINISTRY

Our ministry here in Zambia is growing. We have just finished Boot Camp where we saw 1900+ people came to know Jesus  during the project time and we had many rededications to the Lord. Through Boot Camp, we also recruited new Bible school students and this year we are getting people from where Teen Missions has been running Sunday schools and Rescue Units.

We are having 32 new students and 17 returning ones for a total of 49 altogether. These students will be trained on how to be a missionary. Teen Missions raised these young people from three years old and up until the grade twelve and all they want is to serve God. We had a most emotional and teaching interview, hearing from their testimonies. We could have taken more but accommodation, availability and the cost of feeding would not allow us to. We are believing God will provide an  increase in our support towards our Bible school program.

Teen Missions in Zambia is a great hope and light to the Zambian vulnerable and poor people. We have many success stories from our girls’ Matron dorms which provide a safe place for the girls to live as they pursue their education. We have 10 girls who were rescued from early marriage and teen pregnancy, who are now in our Bible school. We give God all the glory for His faithfulness and also the faithfulness of all our supporters.

Thomas and I are both teaching classes in the Bible school and working with the students on our various projects. I’m working on cleaning our property by planting flowers and landscaping. Thomas has been on his toes in helping run the projects and the BMW school at the Ndola base.

Our family is doing well. Our daughter, Neema (23), completed her three-year training to be secondary school teacher, Jessica (12) just qualified to go in 8th grade—she is so happy and excited. Timothy (10) is in 6th grade and the little TomGreg (5) has started 1st grade. We are so grateful as a family to all our partners who are supporting us through Teen Missions. Thanks very much to the Shiloh Christian Union Church and the mission board for your support. May the good Lord richly bless you.  We cannot accomplish much without your support and help.

 In His vineyard,

Thomas, Jackie, Neema, Jessica, Timothy and Thom-Greg Kabwata
