We’ve been invited to lead the North American team to Russia, where they’ll help train Russian youth at The Lord’s Boot Camp there, and then travel with a team of Russian teens to the Lake Baikal region where we’ll do sports evangelism.
We want to finish the summer and be able to say that we finished everything well and to the best of our ability, that we were content in all things and situations and that we chose to put on the garment of praise everyday, that we were examples to the unbelievers and believers alike and that we were bold in proclaiming the saving Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
We want to reach out to those who have been spiritually blinded in this dark age and have not been told of the message of our living God.
It is such a blessing for me to be here at Teen Missions. The desire to be a missionary that God gave me 5 years ago is blossoming and I am right where God wants me to be.
Things are busy here at Teen Missions! This is the first year we have had the new summer’s brochure available at the end of the summer, so kids could sign up right away. Because of this, teams are starting to fill up and it is exciting to see!
Through this ministry many now are hearing the Gospel and having the opportunity to be discipled in the Word of God.
The team has been working at the Teen Missions base out of Pretoria, and we have heard they have been a real answer to prayer for not only our staff there, but also other ministries.
One of my favorite hymns is “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” As with most hymns, there is a wonderful message for us. So often we sing the words, but do not take the time to think about them. The first verse tells us more than once that God is faithful—“Thou changest not…as Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.” Aren’t you glad that God is not fickle, changing his mind constantly?
We now have over 500 team members and leaders registered for this summer.
We praise the Lord for the 43 team members who accepted Christ during Boot Camp.
By 2001 we discovered a new concept in taking the “orphanage to the orphan” and that has allowed us a more practical way to help thousands.
