3. Sew a 1″ seam, down green felt side making sure to sew through all colored squares.

The seam should bind the book and its pages together.

Braided yarn can be used to hold the booklet together. You would need to punch a hole in the material.

Your Wordless Book doesn’t have to be square. Example: heart shapes are cute, although time-consuming.

Wordless Book in Russia

The Wordless Book is a tool to help you share the Good News of Jesus Christ! Famous London preacher Charles Spurgeon was first known to use it in a message to hundreds of orphans in 1866.

Many individuals learn through what they see. A visual example gives the person a reference for the information they are hearing. The different colors in the Wordless Book can help you remember what to say when sharing the steps to receiving Christ.

The Wordless Book can be used anywhere. Its size allows it to be easily transported. It is inexpensive, so it can be left behind. It is a gift that will remind your listeners of the Gospel truth.

The Wordless Book can be used in many different circumstances. Large groups, small groups, and one-on-one situations are just a few examples of its usefulness.

Although you might assume the Wordless Book is designed primarily for children, adults can also be effectively reached by it. Never underestimate the capacity of your audience to enjoy something new and different.

  1. do you have this in Tagalog version (Philippines language)?

  3. Marilyn Buckmaster

I’m excited to thak the Wordless Book as an activity for our Assisted Living Devotional Circle. We meet once a week at their facility. Since it’s summer, I am taking the color theme and using it to fill small plastic bottles with colored sand. Starting at the bottom add 1 1/2 Tbsps black sand, then red, then white , then yellow, then green. We’ll top it off with tiny seashells and hopefully seal the top with Elmer’s glue to ensure the safety of these elderly people we love so much. Our Scripture will be based on the many times Jesus was at the seaside. First at his baptism and then when calling his disciples, teaching them and even to feeding the 5000. Next week, following up the color teaching we’ll make the felt Wordless Books since school is starting that week. I’m going to use Scripture for verses, like “Study to show yourself approved”.

  9. Are you still needing more wordless bracelets? If so, what do you use them for? We are in need of doing a Christian service project and if you still need them, we would love to make your organization some bracelets.

    • Sallyann, That would be great! We will send them overseas with the teams this summer!

    • We are doing vbs in Haiti this summer and would love to have the bracelets as part of our message. We will be doing a vacation bible school in 4 Schools plus one village. Not sure the exact count. But I think there would be aprroxamatly 850 to 1000 children we would be ministering to. Is that even possible for you?

  10. I got a bracelet with an extra color, blue, what is its meaning?

  16. 5th grade class, along with their 1st grade reading buddies are using the Wordless book and making bracelets for Chapel this week. (We have a chapel to present to approx. 150 3rd-5th grade students).

This is a great teaching tool to help students learn how to gain opportunities to share their faith with peers (outside of school), without having a sense that they have to initiate the conversation. Grateful to Charles Spurgeon for giving us the idea. Your website rocks! Students are inspired by it. Thank you.

  17. When I was in 4th grade my teacher always wore a wordless book pin. She used it till the day she retired in the 1980s. She would actually teach the word of God in school regardless of the ban of God in School. She has a saying that went with each Page.

My heart was full of sin until the savior came in. His precious blood I know has washed me white as snow. Through his word I’m told I walk the street. Oh glorious, glorious day My sins have been washed away.

  18. My wife used this tool to lead her father to Christ after many other diffrrent attempts .Truly a priceless tool.

  19. I was glad to see this on your website. My 7 yr old granddaughter was talking about the Wordless Book. Thank you
