Serving the Lord with Teen Missions in Australia

Meet the Reillys

Mike (from New Hamshire) and Rena (from Illinois) Reilly came to the ministry in stages. Mike joined staff in 1986, coming from Denver where he was a firefighter and EMT. After joining staff, Mike served in the Print Shop and Leader Placement.

Rena, a former children’s pastor, joined staff in 1990 as Mike’s new wife. They met in Florida the previous year at a friend’s wedding.  Once she joined staff, Rena spent time teaching in Munchkin Missions and homeschooling their children.

Mike and Rena have two children, Katie Rose and Michael. They are all living in Australia, where Mike and Rena serve as base coordinators.  Mike is also involved with the Overseas Boot Camp in India.

  • Mike & Rena Reilly Newsletter (Fall 2017) October 17, 2017 Dear Friends and Family,   The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few. What does that mean? It means that we have more work than workers and some changes need to be made to help with the growing needs. That seems to be the issue with many mission bases around the world, as well as Teen Missions. Because of that, some changes are happening one of which is with us. By the time you get this we will be back in ...
  • Mike & Rena Reilly Newsletter (Spring 2017) May 18, 2017 Dear Friends and Family, Since the last time we wrote to you, we made another trip to Indonesia. The goal was to help them walk through some ongoing issues, as the young leadership there needs support. We held lots of meetings with board and staff, but we did take a break and head to Borneo.   Rena and I were invited to help Dr. Debora and her husband Roland, who travels twice a year to remote parts of the country ...
  • Mike & Rena Reilly Newsletter (Winter 2017) March 1, 2017 Reilly Review Dear Friends and Family, The year 2016 came and went.  We’re not sure how that happened, other than we traveled a lot! Then between traveling, a pile of work was waiting for us in Australia. There is nothing like a backlog of ungraded homework to make your day. Yet, we truly praise God for 2016 and all that He allowed us to be a part of and the growth which took place. As we look back over our year we ...
  • Reilly, Mike & Rena Newsletter (Spring 2016) May 20, 2016 Dear Friends and Family,I hope and pray that you are doing well. For us it has been a whirl wind tour. When we left for the US we knew it was going to be a long trip around the nation during winter. Then we thought we could rest once we got back home to Australia. It was not meant to be—two weeks after we arrived home we received an email asking us to help a few other bases in Asia. ...
  • Reilly, Mike & Rena Newsletter (Fall 2015) October 10, 2015 Dear Friends & Family,If there is one thing that we have learnt over the years, it's that if a lot of people tell you that your ideas will never work, or you can’t do that here, ask God to see if it is His way of saying go for it. If it is of God then you will see it come to pass if you wait on Him to work it out. Here are a few things we heard that ...
  • Reilly, Mike & Rena Newsletter (Winter 2015) March 2, 2015 Dear Family and Friends, What an amazing year 2014 was. We are still not sure how we got everything done! As we look back over our year we have many things to be thankful for this Christmas season. Below you will find a few of them. 2014 found us thankful for: • The many salvations we were blessed with through the 44 camps we hosted, students’ ministry, and Boot Camp summer program and the overseas work • Being able to go to ...
  • Reilly, Mike & Rena Newsletter (Fall 2014) October 30, 2014 Dear Friends and Family, We are full steam ahead! Thanks for making that happen. These past few months are a bit hard to describe because even though we have had a lot of difficulties along the way it has been kind of fun. Again it is hard to describe. An example would be the situation with Rena’s mom, Rosie. Even though we spent a huge amount of time in and out of ER’s, hospitals and different nursing homes, it was a ...
  • Reilly, Mike & Rena Newsletter (Spring 2014) May 20, 2014 Dear Friends and Family, We are praising GOD for another year of the school running and training young people for missions. It was touch and go for a bit. But we now have eight students who have committed to be with us for two years. We changed our one-year program back to two years. The reason was that even though the students finished their homework and completed the course, we felt like they were not retaining much of the information and ...
