One night in Guatemala, our team was told were going to do an evangelism presentation in a church we had not been to. This would be our first presentation away from our work site and the orphanage. It was a crazy bus ride on the way there. We arrived at the church, which was small and painted an ugly green. I didn’t know what to expect, but when we walked inside there were red curtains perfectly hung from the ceiling and a poster about salvation at the front of the church. The worship band consisted of one lady, the pastor’s wife, and a DVD player. After our presentation, we were greatly thanked by the church and the pastor’s wife kept on praising God in her prayers saying “God is good.” Even though this church was not as much on the outside, you could see they had tried their best to make it a place for God. They loved God so much and it really gave me a new perspective about what honoring God is really about.
